Most mornings, we go for walks in our new neighborhood of Park Ridge. Hinkley Park is nearby and a walk around it is about a mile - a nice, short walk. And this walk has presented a couplke piccoli misteri! The first picture below shows one of these misteri: A signpost with ….

This is Chicago! The hydrant is easily visible to firemen during much of the year...but in winter? There could be four feet of snow, completely covering the hydrant! So the rod is there to make sure the location of the hydrant is easily visible.
