The Joyful Story of KJ Muldoon
Welcome to the inspiring story of how KJ Muldoon, born with a devastating inherited disease that takes the life of about 50% of afflicted newborns, was healed by a combination of outstanding medical care coupled with cutting edge biomedical research.
The result “is a triumph for the American peoples’ investment in biomedical research,” said Dr. Fyodor Urnov, a collaborator from the University of California, Berkeley.
This moving story includes some fascinating genetic studies, so I will help us over any rough spots by providing some background info here and in the presentation.
